Adding Vectors in GeoGebra

Begin by generating two vectors on GeoGebra, originating from the same point but extending in different directions.

Note. For assistance on creating vectors, refer to our comprehensive tutorial at creating vectors on GeoGebra.

Each vector in GeoGebra should be assigned a unique lowercase letter, such as u and v, for identification.

Then, input the vector sum u+v into GeoGebra's command field and hit Enter.

GeoGebra will automatically craft the sum vector w, which will be instantly visible on your graph.

Note. This method yields the same outcome as the geometric approaches, such as the parallelogram method or the head-to-tail method.

GeoGebra also allows for the addition of three or more vectors in one seamless operation, simplifying complex vector calculations.
